Social responsibility policy
S.C. MECANPETROL S.A. has as activity subject the execution of steady pressure tanks , welded metal structures, equipment and spare parts for the oil and gas industry and it wishes to get the strongest possible position on the competition market.
Being aware that quality products can only be obtained with happy employees, who work in a safe, healthy and stimulative environment, we have decided to develop a social responsibility management system, according to which to ensure the observance of the employees’ rights, the improvement of the work conditions and good relationships with the community and other external concerned parties.
Thus, we would like to obtain a durable economic growth, to fight against social exclusion, to promote the equal chances and the investments in the human capital.
By this statement, we commit with full responsibility for the following:
The Observance of the requirements SA 8000:2014, of international standards and of their recommendations, as well as of the provisions of the national laws and of other applicable requirements, following the implementations of those stipulations which are the most favourable for the employees;
Correct, honest business, performance of all our activities in conditions of respect both for our partners and our employees, to which we provide safe, healthy and durable workplaces, and the suitable training in the professional and social responsibilty fields;
Firm ban of discrimination of any kind, of the use or encouragement of forced and compulsory work , of the use of discipline actions otherwise than the law requires it;
Ban on the use of the children’s work, protection of the physical and emotional development of children and young operators by policies of rehabilitation and promotion of their education; facilitation of the access of underage children to the education, according to the capacity of each of them, by the suitable means;
Provision of the continuity of the process of identification of the dangers, their evaluation and monitoring, transparency, facilitation of the consultation, involvement and awareness of the employees with a view to protection of their health and safety at the workplace;
Ensurance of favourable conditions for the exercise of the right to association and collective negotiation, observance of the work time specified by the law, of the legal holidays and the ensurance of the yearly, paid rest leave;
Payment of fair and decent salaries, complying to at least the minimum levels collectively negotiated at the upper levels, with clear details of the salary components for the employees;
Observance of the right of the employees to elect representatives for the communication related to the social responsibility and participation,within the Social performance team, in the identification and evaluation of the riscs concerning the social responsibility, dialogues with all the other partners in the field of social responsibility: trade unions, suppliers, subcontractors, customers, local and national authorities;
Encouraging of our suppliers and contractors to implement the principles of the social responsibility and to share the values of SA 8000 among their employees;
Ensurance of the access to the verification of the conformity to SA 8000 of the external auditors and provision of all the reasonable information required by them;
Putting at the disposal of this policy to all the concerned parties: employees, suppliers, subcontractors, customers, etc.
In my position of general manager, I commit to allot the resources required for the establishment, implementation, keeping and continuous improvement of the Social Responsibility Management System.
Keeping in mind the strategy of the company, the needs and the expectations of the employees and of the other parties interested by the social performance, I assume my responsibility of the periodical analysis of this policy, from the point of view of its suitability and based on the committment of continuous improvement.
